Sprout n corn salad

This healthy bowl of salad is very simple to prepare and loaded with protein, vitamins and fiber. Lower intake of dietary fiber is positively related to total cholesterol and LDL levels. So here is a low caloric recipe which can help us increase our intake of dietary fiber and also full of flavors.

Recommended portion Size : 1 serve

Ingredients2 serves
Mixed Sprouts, boiled ¼ cup, 25g
Corn, boiled2 tbsp., 20g
Black olives, thinly sliced1 tbsp.
Onions, chopped½ cup.
Tomatoes, chopped½ cup.
Cumin powder¼ tsp.
Red Chilli Flakes¼ tsp.
Pomegranate seeds1 tbsp.
Rock saltto taste
Lime juice1 tbsp.

Method

Combine all the ingredients together in a bowl and serve. Add the lime juice just before serving to prevent release of water from the vegetables.

Did you know? Olives contain healthy mono saturated fat which has been found to increase HDL, the good cholesterol.
